If you’ve been biting your nails in anticipation of No Doubt’s now-delayed new album, there’s hope for you in the near future: the band has announced a mini club tour for October. The band has posted eight club dates most of them in California on its official Web site after weeks of teasing from bandmember Tom Dumont. The guitarist had been promising fans a “special announcement” concerning the month of October. With a post on the site dated September 15, signed “No Doubt,” came word that the band had planned to spill the beans on the club tour that day, but singer Gwen Stefani was considering a movie offer that might interfere with the shows. On September 17, a new post arrived, apologizing for the confusion and announcing the dates. The previous post has since been pulled. There’s no further word on Stefani’s big-screen ambitions, though the singer presumably will have the time to fulfill them; No Doubt’s new CD won’t be released until early next year see “No Doubt Reschedules Release Date”. Representatives for the band were not immediately available for comment.
